I did what you required. Now could we end circus here and continue working on Wikipedia? It is not my invention, but please do not delete your user talk page - you can do as I did if you want to. --Viskonsas ༡༨:༢༦, ༢༨ ཟླ་དགུ་བ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)[]

Thank you. How to create an archive please?

In fact, I’m really in holidays : tomorrow I will go to travel and come back in 10 days…

P.S. If you don’t mind, I will finish the Genealogy of Jesus before to come back in countries and present the region and town I will see during this 10 days.

Ok. But please don't forget unaccomplished plans after your holidays. --Viskonsas ༡༠:༠༢, ༢༩ ཟླ་དགུ་བ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)[]

Don't worry boss ! ;) In 10 days I will return in my work...

Welcome back. Somebody commented on Talk:དགེ་འཕེལ།‎. --Viskonsas ༡༢:༠༥, ༩ ཟླ་བཅུ་བ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)[]

One anonymous user made some edits and created some almost blank pages Special:Contributions/ I think at least half of them are not of Wikipedian content. Please correct them and tell me if they are useless. --Viskonsas ༠༩:༤༢, ༡༡ ཟླ་བཅུ་བ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)[]

It’s your work little boss; I’m not here to censore… But if I can suggest you something for the survive of bo.wikipedia, don’t delete his articles directly. You can use གྲོས་བསྡུར། to ask him something or explain how to creat a correct article…

--སྤེའུ་དཀར་པོ། ༡༠:༢༥, ༡༡ ཟླ་བཅུ་བ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)[]

I considered your answer a personal attack. If you have no idea about what's appropriate in Wikipedia and what is not, why should you not read English Wikipedia before attacking me? You even justify vandalism, or what? --Viskonsas ༡༡:༣༥, ༡༡ ཟླ་བཅུ་བ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)[]

Between anarchy and despotism, my heart came always to the first… But this is not the question… It seems you can’t see difference between vandalism and inexperimented article… Isn’t it ? I say one more time : I won’t make your work… I’m here only for Tibetan language and knowledge… You can directly talk with him by this way : གྲོས་བསྡུར།

--སྤེའུ་དཀར་པོ། ༡༡:༤༧, ༡༡ ཟླ་བཅུ་བ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)[]

At least you noticed that those articles are not appropriate. You can contact him if you really want to, but it would be useless to explain him something, since I speak neither Tibetan, nor Chinese. And one thing I want to point out is that Wikipedia is not a type of government. It means neither it should represent democracy, nor anarchy or dictatorship. If you are not willing to help with a cleanup of new articles, I have no other way, but to delete them. Otherwise we'll turn this Wikipedia into a dump. --Viskonsas ༡༡:༥༨, ༡༡ ཟླ་བཅུ་བ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)[]

If there is no despotism, you should learn something called “talk”: this person should know English language and look motivated to create articles… If, little boss, you delete without talk as usually he will stop to create article… You delete all articles in bo.wikipedia you don’t understand… But you don’t understand Tibetan language… This is really funny…

--སྤེའུ་དཀར་པོ། ༡༢:༠༥, ༡༡ ཟླ་བཅུ་བ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)[]

Soon, I will start Tibetans kings… But of course there is not an article in English Wikipedia for each king so, I suppose you will censure me again… Otherwise, I would like to say before you do this that, even if “you” don’t know them, they are an important part of Tibetan culture…

--སྤེའུ་དཀར་པོ། ༡༢:༡༢, ༡༡ ཟླ་བཅུ་བ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)[]

First of all I never proposed to delete དགེ་འདུན་ཆོས་འཕེལ། (you can watch its history if you don't believe me). I was wondering about the articles CREATED by that anonym ([༡], [༢], [༣], [༤], especially [༥]. Get it right before accusing me of autocracy. As for the other users, if you were a member of this wiki for a long time, just like me, you would understand that it's a small possibility of new active users. Usually they make few contributions and disappear. --Viskonsas ༡༨:༥༨, ༡༡ ཟླ་བཅུ་བ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)[]

If you are not willing to help with a cleanup of new articles, I have no other way, but to delete them(...) --Viskonsas ༡༡:༥༨, ༡༡ ཟླ་བཅུ་བ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)

Articles such as the ones created by you are not included, because their quality and structure are good. Don't worry, I use an electronic dictionary so I've got an idea what are they about. Hey, would you condemn me if I deleted བེ་རི་དགོན།? --Viskonsas ༡༣:༥༤, ༡༢ ཟླ་བཅུ་བ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)[]

Maybe could you wait a period… for exemple 7 days… and ask to the creator (by this way when there is only ID : གྲོས་བསྡུར།) to translate? Don’t you think?

Kings of TibetEdit

I would suggest us to create a template (and use it) for reign, such as the ones in English and French Wikipedias [༦] and by that add some important information about preceding and succeeding kings. I would create the template itself and you would translate some words in it ("before", "after","title","years"). What do you think? --Viskonsas ༡༥:༡༩, ༡༤ ཟླ་བཅུ་བ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)[]

Before = སྔོན་མ། After = རྗེས་ལ། Years = ལོ། Title... Not sure… Wait please

--སྤེའུ་དཀར་པོ། ༠༦:༤༡, ༡༥ ཟླ་བཅུ་བ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)[]

Ok, when you know the translation please tell me. Then I will create that template and we could add them to the articles about rulers. --Viskonsas ༡༡:༣༢, ༡༥ ཟླ་བཅུ་བ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)[]

"Title" in this situation is མཚན་བྱང་།

--སྤེའུ་དཀར་པོ། ༡༥:༤༤, ༡༥ ཟླ་བཅུ་བ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)[]

འཐད།. I created succession box and already used it in ཁྲི་རལ་པ་ཅན།. Please use it in articles about leaders, including བོད་ཀྱི་བཙན།. It's quite simple. --Viskonsas ༡༤:༡༦, ༡༧ ཟླ་བཅུ་བ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)[]

One Polish Wikipedian requested to create an article about Polish Nobel Premium laureate and the first president of democratic Poland Lech Walensa. I found his name transcribed in Tibetan here[༧]. I think we should write at least the following: Lech Walesa (born 29 September 1943) is a former president of Poland, co-founder of the movement called "Solidarność" (we shouldn't translate its meaning to avoid difficulties) and a Nobel Peace Prize laureate. Can you translate it please? --Viskonsas ༡༡:༢༥, ༡༣ ཟླ་བཅུ་གཅིག་པ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC) Thank you. --Viskonsas ༡༡:༥༡, ༢༢ ཟླ་བཅུ་གཅིག་པ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)[]

Modern lexic in TibetanEdit

Tashi delek. I am sysop of Wikipedia in Kalmyk (Oirat) language. I would like to know how new words (such as bot, user, password, account, cash, article, edit, computer, keyboard, cell phone, bus, TV, radio an so on) are presented in interface translation of this Wikipedia, in daily Tibetan speech. Are they loaned from Chinese language, or maybe the closest equivalent is chosen (password - "secret word", admin - "head")? Also, about country, nation, language names in Tibetan. — Huuchin; talk ༢༠:༥༢, ༢༢ ཟླ་བཅུ་གཅིག་པ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)[]

They are new words but Tibetan language is spoken by many people and they already integrate these words in their language. Sometimes by transcription from Chinese, English, or any languages, sometimes also by translation word by word. About country, nation, language names, it’s more difficult: we need to find a reference because most people doesn’t know this words.

--སྤེའུ་དཀར་པོ། ༠༡:༡༠, ༢༣ ཟླ་བཅུ་གཅིག་པ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)[]

I would like to ask you to categorize the categories you create, because recently you've created many, but few of them are categorized. Otherwise we'll have a lot of trouble in the future when there are dozens of them. Currently 60 existing categories (excluding categories for templates) don't belong to any category. --Viskonsas ༡༤:༤༡, ༢༨ ཟླ་བཅུ་གཅིག་པ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)[]

I understand, but it should be cool if i need not to do all... don't you think?

--སྤེའུ་དཀར་པོ། ༠༠:༤༦, ༣༠ ཟླ་བཅུ་གཅིག་པ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)[]

Yes, but currently nobody else can do this, since you are the only one that speaks Tibetan. I can only help categorizing articles when the appropriate categories are created or categorize them in English and then asking you to translate, like [༨]. --Viskonsas ༡༣:༡༨, ༣༠ ཟླ་བཅུ་གཅིག་པ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)[]

Could you make a list of categories you need ?

--སྤེའུ་དཀར་པོ། ༡༥:༢༩, ༣༠ ཟླ་བཅུ་གཅིག་པ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)[]

Yes. But I think it would be better if I'll write these categories' names in English and then ask you to translate. Then those wanted categories would appear in [༩]. --Viskonsas ༡༦:༢༤, ༣༠ ཟླ་བཅུ་གཅིག་པ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)[]

It will be faster if you write a list of 20 or 50 categories here and I will translate them directly... Like this you can creat the categories by yourself after.

--སྤེའུ་དཀར་པོ། ༢༣:༢༧, ༣༠ ཟླ་བཅུ་གཅིག་པ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)[]

Ok. If you say so. Then I ask you for translation everytime I have doubts. Actually you can see the whole list of categories, both created and uncreated, here [༡༠]. For now, I'd need the translations of: Caucasus, Days, Weeks, Phonetics, British people, Sociology. By the way, I haven't told you yet, I suppose, but please don't create categories for cities - they're going to be 1-article categories and there is a rule in all Wikipedias to avoid categories with only one article belonging to it, especially if it's obvious that category won't have more articles in the near future. ;) --Viskonsas ༡༤:༠༤, ༡ ཟླ་བཅུ་གཉིས་པ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)[]

But English Wikipedia propose town categories and there is not only one articles...

--སྤེའུ་དཀར་པོ། ༡༥:༠༠, ༡ ཟླ་བཅུ་གཉིས་པ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)[]

Yes. That's exactly why there are town categories in English Wikipedia. These categories contain more than 1 article, that's why they have been created. When do you think there would have been more articles created in, for example, Category:རིས་ཡག? It's enough to create a category Category:སའུ་དི་ཨ་ར་པི་ཡ། for that. Even bigger Wikipedias which have ~100 000 articles don't have this category. --Viskonsas ༡༧:༠༠, ༢ ཟླ་བཅུ་གཉིས་པ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)[]

But we are at beggening... of course in future it will be more than 1 article in this categories... Without 1 you have not 2.

--སྤེའུ་དཀར་པོ། ༢༢:༤༣, ༢ ཟླ་བཅུ་གཉིས་པ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)[]

It's only in theory. Nobody knows the future of this Wikipedia, so it is possible for minor articles, such as neighbourhoods of the town or its mayor, not to be created. In other words, we should avoid minor categories, especially now, when few hundreds of articles and tens of categories are uncategorized. --Viskonsas ༡༥:༣༥, ༣ ཟླ་བཅུ་གཉིས་པ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)[]

They are capital cities... But, so... What do you recommand for capital cities as category ?

--སྤེའུ་དཀར་པོ། ༠༠:༣༣, ༤ ཟླ་བཅུ་གཉིས་པ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)[]

A category of the country. If you look more closely, you will notice that most of those categories have only 2 articles, so subcategories of country's categories shouldn't be created, except some exceptions. --Viskonsas ༡༧:༡༧, ༤ ཟླ་བཅུ་གཉིས་པ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)[]

By the way, I did one translation in the article ཧྥ་རན་སི།. Please check whether I was correct. And I think it's time to finish translating this table, so that more comprehensive articles about countries could be created... --Viskonsas ༡༩:༤༩, ༤ ཟླ་བཅུ་གཉིས་པ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)[]

This category Category:ཨ་མི་རི་ཁའི་ཡེ་ཤུའི་ཆོས་ལུགས་པ། should belong to and (or just . --Viskonsas ༡༨:༤༢, ༡༥ ཟླ་བཅུ་གཉིས་པ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)[]

Yes, . By the way, do you know the translation of "Indo-European languages"? --Viskonsas ༡༥:༢༩, ༡༩ ཟླ་བཅུ་གཉིས་པ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)[]

Not sure... Maybe ཧིན་རྡུ་དང་ཡོ་རོབ་ཀྱི་སྐད་ཁོངས། but I need to look for... give me some days

But there is nothing in this template...?

--སྤེའུ་དཀར་པོ། ༡༥:༣༩, ༡༩ ཟླ་བཅུ་གཉིས་པ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)[]

Are you sure? Quite many countries names should be seen in this category. --Viskonsas ༡༧:༥༨, ༡༩ ཟླ་བཅུ་གཉིས་པ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)[]

Tibetan wordsEdit

Hi. I would like to ask you for some help. In English Wiktionary there is a pending discussion about whether tsheg or shad is used at the end of Tibetan words in Tibetan dictionary entries. My position is that "tshegs" are used (as in all the dictionaries in the internet), while others think that neither "tsheg", nor "shad" is used.[༡༡] To say the truth, I don't know if my or their opinions are correct, so since you are a linguist and native Tibetan, I am asking you to reveal your argument. བཀའ་དྲིན་ཆེ། --Viskonsas ༡༩:༥༤, ༢༡ ཟླ་བཅུ་གཉིས་པ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)[]

In all books or electronics books that I know inside Tibet they use shad (།) at the end of Tibetan words in Tibetan dictionary entries. I saw only tsheg (་) or nothing in some foreigners books but this doesn't look correct between traditionnal grammar. It's why I propose to creat the page with nothing if it finish by ག, with ་། if it finish by ང, and with ། for other cases, but to creat a redirected page with the same words finishing by a tsheg. What do you think?

--སྤེའུ་དཀར་པོ། ༠༡:༡༢, ༢༢ ཟླ་བཅུ་གཉིས་པ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)[]

Yes, I totally support your naming policy in Wikipedia. However, I wouldn't think the best way for writing Tibetan words in Wiktionaries is the one we use in Tibetan Wikipedia. As we both know, Tibetan dictionaries published by foreigners seem to use tsheg at the end of the word and I guess it's the most acceptable way for foreigners, since that rule with ག and ང might still be too complicated for foreigners (neither tsheg nor shad at the end is even worse, in my opinion). So I guess it's up to developers which variant to choose. Unfortunately, English and Lithuanian Wiktionaries use different policy on Tibetan words. Well... --Viskonsas ༢༡:༣༤, ༢༦ ཟླ་བཅུ་གཉིས་པ། ༢༠༠༩ (UTC)[]

Hi. I was wondering whether you are familiar with biological terms in Tibetan (such as animalia [༡༢], plantae [༡༣] and other taxonomical terms ([༡༤]). It would be good to concretize articles about various creatures and to use templates, just like in other Wikipedias. What do you think? --Viskonsas ༡༨:༤༩, ༢ ཟླ་གཉིས་པ། ༢༠༡༠ (UTC)[]

Nope, but i can maybe find some dictionnary about this... I will try.

First of all, congratulations on your adminship. I hope you will be a good admin, better than me. Now you are able to block vandals, delete and undelete articles, edit MediaWiki and revert edits more easily. Moreover, as you can see, I seldom check bo.wikipedia and don't maintain the order regularly, so sorry if I leave too much things to do for you. However, I think it's the best for a native speaker to be the developer of his/her Wikipedia, so you will see me even more rarely, especially if I see the things going well here. Now about the articleཚད་འཇལ་བྱེད་ཀྱི་སྡེ་ཚན་ I deleted. If you had tried to undelete it, you would have understand that it's not worth existing. I found this article not suitable (I had checked the content in the dictionary), so it was my duty to delete this article. Wikipedia is not a place for such jokes. --Viskonsas ༡༦:༡༦, ༢༦ ཟླ་བཞི་བ། ༢༠༡༠ (UTC)[]

PS: there are some too long articles, such as སྔོ་ཚལ་ and མཚོ་སྔོན. I know it's a very irritating job to make them better and lessen the mess, but if there is some content which is not suitable for the article you can delete it ,so that the article would meet the criteria. Moreover, somebody vandalized on བོད་སྐད།: it used to be pretty long until someone deleted all the content. Don't take it too personally, but in my opinion a sample article about Tibetan language is a must. You know many grammatical terms in Tibetan, expanding this article would be a significant step in developing this Wikipedia. Kind regards. --Viskonsas ༡༢:༠༩, ༢༨ ཟླ་བཞི་བ། ༢༠༡༠ (UTC)[]

connectivity projectEdit

Hallo, my name is Anastasiya Lvova, I'm "duty" in Connectivity project. The essence of the "Connectivity" project is to study and enhance the coherence of Wikipedia, or, in other words, to improve hypertext navigation between articles. The project deals with deadends, isolated articles, non-categorized articles, transitivity of the category tree, etc.

We want to work with your language version, but we need configured MediaWiki:Disambiguationspage for it (with direct links to template namespace pages, for example, ru:MediaWiki:Disambiguationspage/de:MediaWiki:Disambiguationspage/fr:MediaWiki:Disambiguationspage). Is it possible to set it up for our usage?

thanks in advance, Lvova ༡༨:༣༨, ༡༣ ཟླ་དྲུག་པ། ༢༠༡༠ (UTC)[]

I am Jimmy Wales (Jimbo), founder of Wikipedia and the Wikimedia Foundation, and I'm doing a personal investigation into the smaller language Wikipedias. I will be presenting some information about this at the upcoming Wikimania, and I am hoping to conduct a video interview with you (over skype) to learn more about your personal stories about what is going on in your language Wikipedia.

You were chosen through a process of looking at a list of smaller languages and the most active contributors. If you feel that you aren't the best person to speak about your language version, please do share this message widely. I'm looking for the most active volunteers in some of the smaller languages.

Please email me at: and also email my assistant Topher at as soon as possible. Wikimania is less than a week away and I want to get as many interviews done as possible before then!

Help needed, pleaseEdit

Greetings Beaukarpo,

I would be willing to support your request if you could first help me translate these five passages into the unique and wonderful Tibetan language:

"Jesus Christ, the Word who became flesh, died on the cross for the redemption of sinners, resurrected on the third day and ascended to heaven. He is the only saviour of mankind, the Creator of the heavens and earth, and the only true God".
"The Holy Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is inspired by God, the only scriptural truth, and the standard for christian living".
"Salvation is given by the grace of God through faith. Believers must rely on the Holy Spirit to pursue holiness, to honour God, and to love humanity".
"The church of Jesus, established by our Lord Jesus Christ, through the Holy Spirit during the time of the 'latter rain', is the restored true church of the Apostolic time".
"The Second Coming of Jesus will take place on the Last Day when He descends from heaven to judge the world: the righteous will receive eternal life, while the wicked will be eternally condemned".

Your help would be appreciated with full gratitude, Thankyou very much. --Jose77 ༠༤:༢༠, ༡༢ ཟླ་བརྒྱད་པ། ༢༠༡༠ (UTC)[]

Please you could translate en:Podolsk into བོད་སྐད་? Naturally if you have available time!Edit

Good day to you! Could you, please, translate into བོད་སྐད་ the article, containing two-three sentences, about this city in Russia? I’d like to thank you in advance :)--Переход Артур ༡༠:༡༠, ༡༢ ཟླ་གཉིས་པ། ༢༠༡༡ (UTC)[]

It's possible, but how to pronouce please ?

--སྤེའུ་དཀར་པོ། ༡༠:༥༠, ༡༢ ཟླ་གཉིས་པ། ༢༠༡༡ (UTC)[]

In English it's written like Podolsk but in Russian it's pronounced in a different way. The first letter "o" is pronounced like letter "o" in the word "mother", the second letter "o" like "au" in the word "author" /ˈɔːθə/ (this letter is under stress in Russian). At the same time the consonant letter "l" is softener than in English and is pronounced like /lʲ/ (unfortanetely, there is no equivalent in English). I hope it can help you :)--Переход Артур ༡༡:༥༥, ༡༢ ཟླ་གཉིས་པ། ༢༠༡༡ (UTC)[]
I have found the way it's pronounced in English . very similar to Russian.--Переход Артур ༡༢:༠༠, ༡༢ ཟླ་གཉིས་པ། ༢༠༡༡ (UTC)[]

པོ་དོལ་སིག: Like this it's very close to the original pronounciation.

Thank you very much! :)--Переход Артур ༡༢:༢༤, ༡༢ ཟླ་གཉིས་པ། ༢༠༡༡ (UTC)[]

Hello Beaukarpo,

Please rename the article from པོ་དོལ་སིག (U+0F54 TIBETAN LETTER PA, U+0F7C TIBETAN VOWEL SIGN O, U+0F0B TIBETAN MARK INTERSYLLABIC TSHEG, U+0F51 TIBETAN LETTER DA, U+0F7C TIBETAN VOWEL SIGN O, U+0F63 TIBETAN LETTER LA, U+0F0B TIBETAN MARK INTERSYLLABIC TSHEG, U+0F66 TIBETAN LETTER SA, U+0F72 TIBETAN VOWEL SIGN I, U+0F42 TIBETAN LETTER GA, U+200B ZERO WIDTH SPACE]) to པོ་དོལ་སིག (U+0F54 TIBETAN LETTER PA, U+0F7C TIBETAN VOWEL SIGN O, U+0F0B TIBETAN MARK INTERSYLLABIC TSHEG, U+0F51 TIBETAN LETTER DA, U+0F7C TIBETAN VOWEL SIGN O, U+0F63 TIBETAN LETTER LA, U+0F0B TIBETAN MARK INTERSYLLABIC TSHEG, U+0F66 TIBETAN LETTER SA, U+0F72 TIBETAN VOWEL SIGN I, U+0F42 TIBETAN LETTER GA). The only change is the removal of the U+200B ZERO WIDTH SPACE at the end of the name which is not supposed to be there in the first place, and is causing all kinds of bugs with bots. I cannot rename the page myself, as I'm not autoconfirmed on this wiki. Thanks. Valhallasw ༠༠:༣༠, ༡༦ ཟླ་གཉིས་པ། ༢༠༡༡ (UTC)[]

A problem with replacing the contentEdit

A new user has replaced all the content of the article about Tibet with a much longer text.[༢༢] I do not think it is acceptable to edit articles that way, so I am asking you whether we should revert his edits? --Viskonsas ༢༡:༠༧, ༡༢ ཟླ་གཉིས་པ། ༢༠༡༡ (UTC)[]

It's about Tibet, but with a lot of politic... I will delete and make it at new more objectival little by little... It's a complicated subject...

You can if you know which one. You are also an "user" even if you never contribute.

hey སྤེའུ་དཀར་པོ,

my name is Adam Weiss and i am a student of Classical Tibetan and Tibetan studies at The Hebrew university of Jerusalem. my friend Amir who is a linguist, a programmer and a very active Wikipedian (en:User:Amire80) is promoting the incorporation of Webfonts into the MediaWiki system, so that all languages can be displayed on every screen regardless of installed fonts.

He consulted with me as to what font is recommended for Tibetan (dbu can) on Wikipedia, and I first had in mind THLIB's TibetanMachineUni but I remembered that TCC had reservations about it (as you can read here.

When I looked at the main page of Wikipedia in Tibetan i saw that you recommend the Himalaya fonts and the Sambhota fonts, and i wonder which font would you recommend as a default dbu can font on Wikipedia?

A gentle reminder... can you reply to this, please? I really want to test WebFonts for Tibetan, but i need to know which font do you prefer.
Thank you! --Amir E. Aharoni ༢༠:༢༥, ༦ ཟླ་དྲུག་པ། ༢༠༡༡ (UTC)[]

I use also Tibetan Machine Uni. But I'm not the admi and I don't know which one is better for bo.wikipedia. You can maybe see here : Tibetan font

Admin rightsEdit

Tashi delek, Beaukarpo. I noticed you haven't had sysop rights in this wiki by now. I'm so sorry for too strict sysops approval politics in Wikimedia. It's time you were granted permanent rights. So this time I would like to settle the things down to finally make you grant the rights which you have deserved by your hard work here. Sorry about the previous time - you did not tell me that Wikimedia was not contacted (so request was left unfulfilled and it is out-dated by now). I do not have power to grant you these rights (even though I'm a sysop, I'm not a bureaucrat), so we have to contact Wikimedia once you receive support from local community. So please submit a new request here when you have time and this time I will contact Wikimedia authorities. Kind regards. --Viskonsas ༡༢:༤༠, ༦ ཟླ་བཅུ་གཉིས་པ། ༢༠༡༡ (UTC)[]

Tibetan web font in translatewiki.netEdit

Recently we enabled a Tibetan web font in Can you please check that the font works and looks correctly?

You can see an example here:

Does it look well? Is the size OK? Is it readable?

We want to enable it in the Tibetan Wikipedia, but first we need to make sure that Tibetan speakers think that it works correctly.

Thank you. --Amir E. Aharoni (talk) ༡༨:༥༣, ༢༠ ཟླ་གསུམ། ༢༠༡༢ (UTC)[]

Khyenrab NorbuEdit

Hi Beaukarpo, Please, see here [༢༥] : I have requested whether it would be possible to restore the photo corresponding to fr:Khyenrab Norbu. I think I found a source indicated in my request. Do you think it was that one you used? I also read that Lhamenpa died on the 28th day of the 10th month of the Tibetan year corresponding to 1962. So, it is not truely the 28 October 1962, but few month later. Do you know what would be the corresponding western date (of 28th day of the 10th month of the Tibetan year corresponding to 1962)? Best wishes, --Rédacteur Tibet (talk) ༡༨:༡༣, ༢༩ ཟླ་བཅུ་བ། ༢༠༡༣ (UTC)[]

Khecheopalri Lake in Sikkimese?Edit

Hello སྤེའུ་དཀར་པོ།, I am trying to find out how to write the name of "en:Khecheopalri Lake" in Sikkimese (Tibetan script). I see that you have made a number of edits to related pages and thought you might be able to help here. There is already a section for en:Khecheopalri_Lake#Etymology indicating the name is formed from 'Khecheo' and 'palri', so maybe this helps? Cheers, -- JonathanCross (talk) ༡༩:༣༠, ༢ ཟླ་བཅུ་གཅིག་པ། ༢༠༡༥ (UTC)[]
