You can also add the template {{User bo}} to your userpage, if you're native Tibetan speaker. That would be the proof to other wikipedians that you're surely able to write fluently in Tibetan --Viskonsas ༡༢:༥༨, ༡༠ ཟླ་བཞི་བ། ༢༠༠༨ (UTC)Reply

Hi! Thanks for your contributions. But as for template {{User bo}}, the text "This user is a native speaker of Tibetan" needs to be translated first (You can translate it here, or in my userpage talk if you haven not already been skilled here yet). Well, as for words "lang, name, level, size" - I don't think they should be translated, because the translation of these files would mess other language templates. --Viskonsas ༡༦:༢༤, ༡༠ ཟླ་བཞི་བ། ༢༠༠༨ (UTC)Reply

Thank you very much for big contributions here. You can create, edit and expand articles here. Any constructive work here is very useful for this wikipedia. No, I am not sysop yet, but maybe one day I'll become one. It's only 1 sysop here, so it's really too little, I think :) If you want, you could translate the rest of the templates relating to Tibetan language: {{User bo-1}}, {{User bo-2}}, {{User bo-3}}, {{User bo-4}}, {{User bo-5}}. By the way, the translation of the templates {{User bo}}, {{User bo-0}} is really great job, and the main page is now easier to read. Thank you. --Viskonsas ༡༩:༢༥, ༡༢ ཟླ་བཞི་བ། ༢༠༠༨ (UTC)Reply

hi! thank you. It shouldn't mess the templates unless it sounds strange. Do your translations "sound" normally? If so, we shouldn't worry about that. Moreover, I will contact some inactive Tibetans here and ask for verification (I know User:ཨ་མའི་ལོ་ལོ། is native Tibetan, but less than semi-active here, Users User:ཞི་བདེ, User:གླིང་སྨྱོན, or User:Amilolo are also probably native Tibetan speakers... But it takes time to get an answer from them. By the way, I'm running for Wikipedia:Requests for adminship, so if you support me, please vote. Your vote is very important. :) Thank You. --Viskonsas ༡༤:༣༣, ༡༣ ཟླ་བཞི་བ། ༢༠༠༨ (UTC)Reply

As for the works here, you could check if there are any gibberish files in this category. --Viskonsas ༡༤:༣༣, ༡༣ ཟླ་བཞི་བ། ༢༠༠༨ (UTC)Reply

Thank You very much for support. The fact that your friends verificated these translations leaves no doubt that these translations are correct :) I'm happy to see your very constructive work here :) By the way, what is this article about? One day we should arrange categories. But that will need much deleting, which can be done only by sysops. As for now, could you translate those 2 sentences on the top of this article, and the name of that article as well? Thank You. --Viskonsas ༡༥:༢༣, ༡༣ ཟླ་བཞི་བ། ༢༠༠༨ (UTC)Reply

By the way, do you use any messaging programs? We could easier discuss things by using them. --Viskonsas ༡༦:༡༢, ༡༣ ཟླ་བཞི་བ། ༢༠༠༨ (UTC)Reply

Thank You. I'll contact You when I have time. --Viskonsas ༡༧:༡༨, ༡༣ ཟླ་བཞི་བ། ༢༠༠༨ (UTC)Reply

Hello, Dobum. Is the translation for "countries" correct - ལུང་པ་། or ལུང་པ་ཙོ? There are many articles about countries, so it's very important. བཀའ་དྲིན་ཆེ།! --Viskonsas ༡༩:༥༠, ༤ ཟླ་ལྔ་བ། ༢༠༠༨ (UTC)Reply

Re Translations

རྩོམ་སྒྲིག

hi,Viskonsas.for my knowlege "countries"'s transaltion in tibetan should be "རྒྱལ་ཁབ།", not "ལུང་པ་། orལུང་པ་ཙོ".ལུང་པ། is stand for small region. for example, before 1951, tibet is country"རྒྱལ་ཁབ།", not a unit of local government ="ལུང་པ་། " "ལུང་པ་ཙོ" got gramma mistakes."ཙོ"is meanless in modern tibetan language. it is probable an accent or used in Bhutan tibetan language. "ཚོ"should be correct plural word for this if they follow the grammal. but this plural not porper for places, it is for people mainly.

Thank You. --Viskonsas ༡༣:༢༦, ༧ ཟླ་ལྔ་བ། ༢༠༠༨ (UTC)Reply

Request for Help, please

རྩོམ་སྒྲིག

Greetings Dobum,

Nice to meet you.

Could you kindly help me write this article into the unique and fabulous Tibetan unicode script? (because it is currently in jpeg format). Please! Please! Please!

(In return I can help you translate your favourite articles into the Chinese or Taiwanese language).

Yours Sincerely, --Jose77 ༠༤:༢༥, ༡༨ ཟླ་ལྔ་བ། ༢༠༠༨ (UTC)Reply

THANKYOU SO MUCH Dobum for your Excellent Transcription help and effort!
I am very very Grateful.
May God Bless you!

Yes, there are many obvious translation errors in that article so feel free to correct any mistakes whenever you find them.
(That article was translated two years ago through the help of a Tibetan living in Canada; however she was not Christian and did not have Tibetan unicode, therefore she had very little knowledge on how to translate many of the Christian vocabulary and terminology).
By the way, here is the original English version of the article.
Your help is very Gratefully Appreciated.
Yours Sincerely, From --Jose77 ༠༢:༠༧, ༡༩ ཟླ་ལྔ་བ། ༢༠༠༨ (UTC)Reply

Translation request

རྩོམ་སྒྲིག

The translation request
Hi! Could I ask you to translate the article which you can find below into Tibetan? Please help me to show our language to the world – the article is quite short and has been selected from English and Silesian article and shortened as possible to contain only the basic informations. If you would finish, please, make me know on my Silesian or Polish discussion. Thanks in advance.
PS. If you want me to translate any article into Polish or Silesian, contact me without hesistation.
So, here’s the text to translation:

The Silesian language (Silesian: ślůnsko godka, ślůnski, sometimes also pů našymu) is a language spoken by people in the Upper Silesia region in Poland, but also in Czech Republic and Germany. In 2002 about 56 000 declared Silesian as their native language, but the number of speakers is estimated on 1 250 000.

Silesian is closely related to Polish language, that’s why it is considered as a dialect of Polish by some linguistics.

There’s not one Silesian alphabet. The Silesian speakers are used to write their language with the Polish characters. In 2006 was invented the new Silesian alphabet, based on all of the Silesian scripts (there’s 10 of them). It is widely used on the Internet, as well as in the Silesian Wikipedia.

I found out that the word "English language" in Tibetan is དབྱིན་སྐད། ([༢]), but you told me it was དབྱིན་ཇིའི་སྐད།. What is the difference between those meanings? --Viskonsas ༡༣:༤༡, ༡༦ ཟླ་བདུན་པ། ༢༠༠༨ (UTC)Reply

Thank you for ཟླ།. Now could you please check the sentence structure of this article. The word "calendar" is in the end. It must sound weird. --Viskonsas ༠༩:༥༣, ༡༨ ཟླ་བདུན་པ། ༢༠༠༨ (UTC)Reply

Dobum, you are now quite experienced user, so please be more careful when creating new articles about countries (~50% articles in this wikipedia are about countries). If you do not know how to rename currently existing article, please let me know and I will explain to you. The article about France had currently existed (ཧྥ་རན་སི) before you created a new one (ཧྥ་རན་སི།). Now those articles have to be merged and that causes some trouble for us. I also want to say I am going to create Image:How to move page en 01.JPG and I am going to create an article about it. So maybe this image will help you.

I also have another 2 questions, they are less important than the first one, but do not take them easy :) You suggested me to delete བོད་སྐད་།. But I cannot understand why - it must be the word for "Tibetan language". It is even used in English and other wikipedias when talking about Tibetan "Tibetan (བོད་སྐད་)" - it is written there.

The 3rd thing (it is not a question actually) is that yesterday I have noticed new Tibetan wikipedian who seems good at Tibetan, but probably does not understand English well (User talk:Phurpu). Please encourage him to contribute here. Tibetan wiki needs more active users. བཀའ་དྲིན་ཆེ།

That's all. Those were friendly suggestions, seeking for more qualitative wikipedia. --Viskonsas ༡༢:༢༤, ༢༥ ཟླ་བདུན་པ། ༢༠༠༨ (UTC)Reply

I understood. But if you have already understood how to rename a page, please rename all the articles that lacks shad in the title. Please go to [༥], so that you will see all the pages of this wikipedia. If you have any questions, please ask. --Viskonsas ༡༣:༠༤, ༢༨ ཟླ་བདུན་པ། ༢༠༠༨ (UTC)Reply
